Taking care of your guinea pig is more than just food. It takes a number of products to get the job done right and fast. Here’s the list of the ones we use and like.

These make fast cleanup of the Guinea Pig cage, and they’re relatively inexpensive. Stock up on these. We keep a few of them around the house. We even sometimes use them on children stuff!

This is a great liter pan for use in the corner of your Guinea Pig habitat. Once you get them trained to use it, it will dramatically speed up clean up time of the cages!

You need litter to go with your litter pan. This works great and is great. You can’t use cat litter!

This is “technically” for rabbits, but we use it with Guinea Pigs just fine. We call it the “happy hut” because that’s what Guinea Pigs are when they’re in it. Happy, happy, happy! Make sure you put some bedding in it for maximum comfort!

Imagine if you never combed your hair. That would be really uncomfortable. Well, your Guinea Pig feels the same way. This brush is very inexpensive, and gets the job done just fine. We’d not recommend anything more.

The “cozy sleeper” is a great bed for a Guinea Pig. They like snuggling up in it, especially if you have 2 or more Guinea Pigs! This doesn’t replace the happy hut. They’re complementary (daytime versus night time).

Size matters! We like this one because it’s 4x the size of the smaller ones. That means we don’t have to refill it as often, and we know if we’re late getting home our Guinea Pig will have plenty of water. It’s also good if this is your first child’s pet. A guinea pig can make a number of days without food, but only a couple without water!

This is the “colorful” bedding choice. It’s the best of this type of bedding, which is why we have added it here. But, we really prefer the “bio” bedding. It’s more natural (and more natural looking!).

This is the stuff we prefer (and no, not because it’s hemp). This stuff is natural, smells good, and we know it’s better for our pets.

This is the bonus. We don’t necessarily recommend electronics for our furry friends, but this is good if your child is taking care of the guinea pigs. It will help them remember what they are supposed to do, and guide them down the path of caring for their Guinea Pig. And, it’s an electronic toy, so kids really like it!
